Hey friend, do you want to make more money in your business? If you answered yes to that question, then this is going to be the episode for you. I'm Coach Chef Kim, an entrepreneurial, lifestyle and wellness coach, and I'm your favorite hope dealer, and I want to welcome you to this episode of the Positive Voice Podcast. So last week on our podcast, we talked about understanding the pivot. So last week on our podcast, we talked about understanding the pivot, and our three takeaways last week were knowing when it's time to pivot, strategically aligning your thoughts and your actions with your values and then being able to identify when you are out of alignment. Now it's important that I recap that as we move into today's topic, because today we will focus our energy on becoming an energetic match for more money and honestly, friends, after doing this for so many years, I'm not sure that it's possible to be an energetic match for more money if you don't understand the principles from last week. So here's why I say this it's more than hustle, hustle, hustle to make money. I don't hustle and I make money. I also make money from unexpected sources, where I put my energy into releasing a new thing and then something from three years ago makes me money Right, and then something from three years ago makes me money right. So, attempting to use some things that we would think are going to make sense, it might not work for you, and so it is my hope and my wish for you that you will receive this episode in love, that you are inquisitive, and that it will inspire some action in you that will change what your bank account looks like. So do I have three practical tips for you in order to manifest more money? Absolutely, I do. We're going to hop right into this Number one practice gratitude. All right, so hear me out. Practicing gratitude isn't. Oh, I'm so thankful for this, I'm so thankful for that. Gratitude can look like remembering how far you've come and literally sitting in that moment. I was with one of my sister friends today and we were sitting in the physical manifestation of an idea that she had about eight years ago. There's something so sweet about pausing to sit in the fullness of the things that you've already manifested.

Speaker 1:

One of the things that I think entrepreneurs get wrong is when you fall into the trap of hustle and grinding and going, going, going and thinking that you have to work hard and never celebrating along the way, and you're just going, going, going. The danger of that is you don't know how to appreciate how far you've come. It's important for us to stop and remember. I prayed for this moment. I prayed for where I am in my business right now, am in my business right now. My business might not be as far as I want it to be, but I prayed to be in this space because I know what it felt like to be in another.

Speaker 1:

And so my first thing in you understanding how to become an energetic match for more money is that you've got to clean up your shit, and I mean that by your mindset. You've got to clean up the shitty thoughts you're thinking. You've got to clean up the shitty feelings that you have about where you are, because you don't appreciate how far you've come. And if you have kids in the car I apologize, but I don't know another way to get this across to you. It is important for us to practice gratitude and to cultivate a being like I want you to be grateful. I don't want that to be something for show. I don't want it to be something that you have to schedule. You should just be grateful at all times, every day, every morning, when you wake up, there should be gratitude for the journey, gratitude for the moment that we're in, gratitude for the understanding of who you had to become in order to get at this space, and then I want you to give grace to the version of you that needs to show up to handle the thing you're trying to manifest right now. Secondly, I need you to set clear goals. There are a whole lot of entrepreneurs who are trying to live their life based off the thing they used to do. Okay, so let me give y'all a personal example on this one In 2021, the first quarter of 2021, I made $30,000 in the first quarter of 2021.

Speaker 1:

Y'all I remember the days I didn't make $30,000 in a year and I made $30,000 in the first 90 days of 2021. There are a couple of things that were happening that make life really, really different. Number one TikTok blew up. Tiktok blew up in such a way in 2021 that it was on Good Morning America. People on Good Morning America were talking about the recipes that were on TikTok. This is when TikTok recipes started going viral for real, to where everybody was talking about it, and, as someone who sells content to content creators, to bloggers, I was studying what was catching on, it was my job to know what the next big thing was, and then I would go create my own version and then I would go sell it. Okay, so I had a system down pack of what people were looking for.

Speaker 1:

Another piece of this is this is during the part of the pandemic where they were talking about a vaccine. We didn't have a vaccine, but a lot of the angst and hurtfulness around it, and fear around the pandemic was starting to switch up a little bit, and so, while people were still home, kids were still home, yet we hadn't gone back into the schools, we weren't really out and about, yet People were Googling more, parents were spending more time at home, more jobs were at home at this point, right, and so people were on blogs in a completely different way than they had ever been, which means the people who were buying from me had very, very different incomes in the first quarter of 2021 than in the first quarter of 2024. And so one of the things that I had to realize in Q1 of 2024 was that what I did three years ago to make me money does not work anymore, and so I need to pivot. And not only do I need to pivot, but, before I make this pivot, to go try and chase that same audience which, oh, by the way, those people are not the same people. A lot of my clientele from 2021 no longer even have their blogs in 2024, after the helpful content update in 2023.

Speaker 1:

And so, when you make your pivot, you have to make a pivot. That's a smart decision, and so, in the smart decision, you have to set a clear goal. I need you to define what your dream life looks like now. The things that I wanted to do in 2021 are not the same things I want to do in 2024. They're not the same. Who I was in 2021 is not who I am in 2024. And so my goals, my hopes, my dreams, my visions are very, very different. And so what my hope is that you are not trying to fulfill a goal from a version of you that no longer exists.

Speaker 1:

So I need you to set really, really clear goals. I need you to set a six month goal. I need you first of all set a goal for the end of the quarter, then I need you to set a six month goal, then I need you to set a one year goal, and I need you first of all, set a goal for the end of the quarter, then I need you to set a six month goal, then I need you to set a one year goal and I want you to set a five year goal, but I want you to put a date on it, because the other piece that I notice a lot of people make this mistake is okay, my five year goal says I'm going to have this, this and this, but you keep talking about that same five year goal and it's been seven years. Maybe put a date on it? All right, there's a date, there's an expiration date. Okay, I need you to put a date on it. If you put a date on it, then you know what you're working towards.

Speaker 1:

If you know what you're working towards, you can work backwards and be able to break down all the things you need to do right now. This is how you make more money in your business. This is the strategy, right? Yes, we're going to dream big, we're going to set our goals, we're going to know where we're going, but now we've got to figure out once I get there. How do I get there? Who did I have to become in order to get there? Who is around me, helping me get to the place that I'm trying to be at. Okay, those are the things I need you to do.

Speaker 1:

And then, lastly, baby, I need you to embrace an abundance mentality. Listen, those of us who are floating in abundance we very much so will answer you If you say well, what if it doesn't work? Anybody who has ever coached with me or ever worked with me knows my knee jerk reaction to you is what if it does? If you say, but what if it? I'm not going to even let you get it out your mouth. What if it does? Because, see, the lack mindset says what if it doesn't work? But the abundance mindset says what if it does? The abundance mindset says who do I need to become in order to have that thing that I want? What do I need to learn in order to have that thing that I want? Do I need to let go of doing this and this and maybe try that?

Speaker 1:

Being afraid to fail will cripple you in your growth. Fail fast and fail often. Fast and fail often. There's no reason that you should be overthinking something to a point where it cripples you from being able to do anything. Either you try it and it doesn't work, or you try it and it does, because the reality is it's going to go one or two ways, and it's going to go one or two ways based on your energy. If you go into the thing thinking that it won't work, guess what it won't. If you go into the thing thinking that it will work, then it will. Oh but, coach, what happens? If I launch something and then no one buys it, then that means you had a zero dollar launch. You're putting your emphasis on the wrong place. You are worried about the people who are going to come and buy it, and I'm more concerned with the fact that you launched it in the first place. See, the abundance mentality is that I launched this thing. And let me take this a step further. For those of you who, if this is your first time encountering me, welcome. But for those of you who know me, you know I'm about to go there.

Speaker 1:

Whenever you are creating something, whenever you are working on a digital product, you're working on a new course. You want to create a new class, you want to launch a new product. Whatever it is that you are working on, it is a deployment of something that you have birthed that is going to change the life of someone who was assigned to that mission. I do not release podcast episodes just so that y'all can hear me talk what? That doesn't make any sense. Every time I open my mouth, every time I record a class, every time I send an email, every time I launch a new podcast episode, all of those individual things get deployed on assignment, and on that assignment I know that there are people attached to the message, and so it is my job to show up in the fullness of who I am, to give you all of me every single time, holding nothing back, because whoever it is that needs to hear this message is going to hear it and they're going to receive it in the way that they need to receive it.

Speaker 1:

And even though I may never know I may never know the number of lives that I have changed I fully understand that as I walk in my purpose, and I understand that the legacy that I am creating and leaving starts with the things that I'm deploying into the world. As I deploy new classes, as I deploy new workbooks, as I deploy new romance novels, as I deploy new physical products, as I deploy new coaching programs, as I prepare to deploy all of those things, I know there's someone attached to it on the other side. So where you're putting the energy on the people to show up to pay, you put your energy into what you are deploying. And what is the mission. If you send things out on a mission to touch the lives of whoever is attached to that thing you're creating, you don't have to worry about if the people can afford it. You don't have to worry about if your pricing is right or wrong. You don't have to overthink whether or not you're good enough to do it. You don't have to worry if you have enough education to do it. Quite simply because nothing that you're creating and releasing should be out of alignment with this particular season of your life. None of it.

Speaker 1:

And in order for you to really embrace an abundance mentality, you have to understand that money is energy and energy is limitless. It is not a resource that will run out. If they tell you money doesn't grow on trees, it's paper. Where do we get paper from? All right, so we know that's a lie. But, baby, even if we look at it and if you know me well enough, you know I say all the time money is not real. Money is energy. If all of us were to go pull out the designated amount of money it says we have in the bank, we would crash the economy because why it doesn't exist? They haven't created enough dollar bills in order to give us all of it. Money is energy and I need you to understand that.

Speaker 1:

The only way you are going to bring more money into your business is to get behind the idea that you don't have to live in lack. You don't have to have a lack mindset. All you need to do is focus on the thing you're releasing. Focus on the energy you have around releasing it. Focus on how you are assigned to somebody else's breakthrough. Understand that your yes to do this thing is somebody else's breakthrough. If you move through your life creating things with that in mind, you will live in an abundance mindset. And I promise you, even if it doesn't come through that workbook you just created or that course that you're about to release, even if it doesn't come through that workbook you just created or that course that you're about to release, even if it doesn't come through that I promise you the money will still make its way to you. I promise it has to. It literally has to, because when we live in abundance, the universe wants to give us the desires of our heart when you follow inspired action. The universe wants to give it to you. It wants to reward you.

Speaker 1:

I have a firm belief that the universe is conspiring to give me everything that I want. I fully and wholly believe it. It wants to give me everything that I want. I am worthy of it. It is a privilege for people to work with me. It is a privilege for people to be able to book one-on-one calls with me. It is a privilege for people to be inside of my group coaching programs.

Speaker 1:

Oh, coach, you shouldn't say that. Why not? I know my assignment on this earth. I know that I change the lives of entrepreneurs exponentially every single time I open my mouth. I know this. That's not me being arrogant. That's not me showboating. That's me operating in my purpose when you are in full alignment with who you're supposed to be. You don't have to second guess it. You already know the answer and whenever you find yourself having a little bit of resistance, don't ignore that. You need to pay attention If you feel resistance inside of your body. Are you doing things that are out of alignment? Are you doing things to chase money? Baby, I don't chase money. I made money last week from a course that I recorded two and a half years ago. When I released that course two and a half years ago, it did not make me money, but it's making me money now and will continue to make me money. Just because you created it and released it in one season. Maybe it wasn't time. I had to plant the seed. Friend, if you know anything about gardening the stuff, don't just come up out the ground. You got to plant it and then you have to wait, but if you never put the seed in the ground, how are you going to reap the harvest? How are you going to reap the harvest if you never put the seed in the ground? I will say this and I'm not going to hold you Manifestation is the intersection of spirituality, which are your beliefs, what you believe in, what you believe about yourself, and strategy, the things that you are doing to make it easy for money to flow through you.

Speaker 1:

What does that mean, cck? Well, it simply means if you have a funnel system where it's difficult for people to give you money, go change it right now. If you don't have a website where people can pay you money, go change that right now. If you have not made it easy for people to give you money, please stop saying you're trying to manifest more when they can't even give you the little bit they got in their pockets. If you are not making it easy for money to flow to you, what are you trying to manifest? What are you trying to manifest? It's really easy to give me money. You can give me money in multiple ways. It doesn't matter where you encounter me. There is a button, there is a link. There's a way for you to give me money. If it's not easy for people to give you money, if you got 15 minute discovery calls and you've got all these things and you know email my assistant and we got to go back and forth three or four times, baby, I'm not going to talk to you. I'm going to go pay that website where I don't have to deal with people. Make it easy for people to give you money. If you make it easy for them to give you money, it's easy for money to flow to you. Put systems in place in your business that will allow people to pay you.

Speaker 1:

Get your energy behind an abundance mindset and move out of lack. If you don't have enough to pay your bills. I need you to look at all the bills and you need to become very intimate with how much money you actually need to do life, to do life. If you just say I don't have, I don't have, I don't have, as opposed to saying I need X, y, z, how can the universe give it to you? If you don't know what you need? How are you going to flow in abundance? If you say I just need to make $2,000 this month but your bills actually total $4,747.23, baby, you're going to be in the negative If you were not intimately aware of how much money you need every month just for you to live your life and you were trying to manifest more.

Speaker 1:

I want you to think about it this way If money was your friend, if money was a person and this person wanted to come see you, this person wanted to come visit you. This person wanted to come hang out with you, but you haven't prepared a space for it to be there your house and you expect for money your friend, the human version of it, the physical manifestation of it to just come in and take up space on a couch, knowing full well that you have multiple rooms in your home, but you refuse to get rid of your junk? Why would money come stay with you when it can go? Stay with somebody who has made it feel welcome, with someone who has been intimate with it, with someone who pays it attention, with someone who feels gratitude for it every time it comes to them, for someone who says thank you for being here. And even when it leaves, they never just kick it out. They never have an attitude about it leaving. They're always grateful for the time that they spent with them.

Speaker 1:

Who would you want as your friend? The one that appreciates you even when times are hard? Or the one who only wants you to show up when they want you to show up but they don't really actually care about you? If you imagine that money is a person, it might change how you act when you have it. And so, friends, if you are an entrepreneur and you want more money in your business, the three things I need you to take away from this episode are number one I want you to practice gratitude at all times, not just when you feel like it. At all times, be grateful for what you have, be grateful for the journey that you've taken and be grateful for the journey that you are still on.

Number two set clear goals. Get real clear about what you want in this season of your life and the things you should be deploying. And, number three embrace an abundance mentality. Adopting this will shift the various aspects of your life, not just your bank account. It will change your wealth. It will change your relationships. It'll even change your health. It will change the personal fulfillment that you have within your relationships. It'll even change your health. It will change the personal fulfillment that you have within your life, and I hope this episode has been enjoyable for you.
