Hello friends and welcome back to another episode of the positive voice podcast. I'm your host I am coach chef kim And y'all listen, it is the wednesday after seeing wicked And we need to talk about it. So for those of you who this may be your first time hearing my podcast, hello and welcome. On this podcast, we talk about entrepreneurship.
We talk about mindset, mastery, authentic leadership, work life balance, empowering women and goal setting. So if you resignate with those things, then I invite you to stay. If you are just someone who happens to have found this because of the Wicked movie, and you just love defying gravity, I also invite you to stay as we take this little walk down, shall we call it, the Yellow Brick Road.
So Today's episode is titled, Defying Gravity, Breaking Barriers, and Empowering Women in Business for a Reason. I sat in the theater last week and cried no less than three times. And if you know me in real life, you know, I'm not a crier like that. But the movie, the songs, the lyrics, I've heard them before.
I've seen Wicked Live on Broadway. Um, it just hit different this time. Particularly because of the climate that we are in, the state of our nation. Things just look different in a post 2024 election in the United States. And so I want to take a minute to, uh, kind of center us as we move into this conversation on how women can be unlimited in the times that are to come.
So if you have not seen the wicked movie, I'm not going to spoil it for you, but I mean, we all know that. Cynthia Erivo, who did an incredible job, um, as Elphaba is going to fly at the end of the movie. Right? That's not a spoiler. You're aware. She's a witch. She's going to fly. The thing is, is that when she pulls this power in order to fly, she's singing the song defying gravity.
And so we're going to take a little bit of time and I'm going to walk you through the song and then kind of compare what was happening there to how you can apply this to your life in real time right now. Okay. So just know that this is my call to women entrepreneurs to let go of societal, self imposed and external barriers so that you too can move to new heights.
And break free from all limitations. If I can give you just a little bit of insight into what's been happening in my life over the past month, it might help on how all of this kind of came to be. So a month ago, um, maybe a little at this point, let's see September. So about six weeks ago, seven weeks ago, I was the keynote speaker at cookie con for this year.
And um, It was an incredible opportunity. I was honored to do it. Um, and one of the things that I had to sit with, meditate about, uh, work through, create new stories around in my preparation for that keynote was, I don't necessarily work in the industry anymore. And in my mind at that time, the limited view that I had about myself was that I don't make cookies for customers.
And that means I'm no longer in the industry. I had to do some work around it. I'm just being real transparent, real clear, right? When I looked at the previous keynote speakers, they all had businesses. They were still doing cookies. They were at the height of their careers. A lot of them had been on food network.
They had really, really big followings. And then me. And I didn't fit the mold of anyone before me, um, and at first, I was a little iffy about that. But if I can be really honest, um, and I'll make sure that we link to the keynote in the show notes so that you can see it, uh, my kids recorded the introduction to me.
And you'll see, you'll see how I am not like everybody else who had ever spoken at Cookie Con before. And you'll see why that made what I had to say special. Um, as we listened and we didn't know this was going to happen. It was all very serendipitous, right? There are no coincidences Um that Karen one of the owners of cookie con decided to go down the history of everyone who has spoken prior to me and None of them looks like me um Everyone who had spoken before me, none of them was a person of color.
Uh, there were no black women before me. And she put all their faces up. And then, the slide transitioned to me. And I felt a hitch in my breath. Because I knew going into this that I was the first. I knew, but the fact that she felt moved enough to say something and I don't even know if that was her intention or if she was just introducing all the people who had come before me and then there was me.
But when you see it, You'll understand how and why I so deeply resonate with the character of Elphaba from Wicked because there was none before me, right? And I had to find my center, to find a thing to talk about, to encourage a room full of people who probably did not even know I existed, right?
Everybody else that came before me, they were big names in the industry, you knew who they were. And then there was me. And that was a lot to carry into that moment. And so, um, what ended up happening was not only was the speech incredible, not only was it impactful, um, but it was absolutely what people wanted in that moment.
It was what people needed in that moment. And I'm forever grateful for the opportunity. One of the things that we have to think about and like I've worked all year for this right I've known since January so from January to September, that was my focus. And then once it was over, I was like, damn, what's next?
And I was like, you know, you you kind of reached a particular point in your journey, like what's next? And after I couldn't really imagine. I was trying to dream bigger and see what was next. And to be very honest with you, what came after cookie con, um, was something that is, it was not anywhere in my peripheral.
I had no idea this was coming, but it has been an experience and is an experience. that will grow, stretch, and forever change my life and the lives of those that I coach going forward. And so the question I want you guys to think about as we move through this is what's holding you back from defying gravity in your life and business.
So just to kind of give you just like a little, a little preview into this journey, we're going to take, um, they're going to be some actionable takeaways, emphasizing how, um, you will be able to overcome challenges with some step by step processes by the time this is over. So if you are into that, buckle in friends and let's go.
The first thing I want to talk about, uh, is mastering your mindset. When Cynthia Erivo begins to sing, and that first line is, Something has changed within me. Something is not the same. First of all, as soon as she sang that, the tears started flowing. And I was like, girl, what's wrong with you? Why are you crying right now?
And it was like, no, something has changed within me. Something is not the same.
Comes a moment in your life. There is a transitional period in your life When you know you are aware That everything you've done up until this point was in direct alignment with the timeline of your highest good And it brought you to this moment The moment when you know you feel like you wake up every day and you With this yearning, this calling, this desire to do a particular thing.
And there may be people around you who don't support it, who don't understand it, who don't want you to elevate because they know you'll leave them. We have this moment, right? And I coach people to work towards this moment because we can all have it where something changes within you. Something is not the same.
And what happens is you've shifted your beliefs in who you are. and what you can do. And when you change your belief, you will begin to change your behavior. And as you change your behavior, that is when you will begin to see the fruits of your labor. Many women entrepreneurs say they have imposter syndrome.
Uh, I would like to encourage you to look the word up because there are a lot of women who don't have imposter syndrome. The women who do have imposter syndrome are overqualified for whatever it is that they're doing. And they still feel unworthy of the moment that is imposter syndrome. There are women who create, create, create and cannot execute and call it imposter syndrome.
And that is indeed not, that is called failure to launch syndrome. Two different things. They kind of show up in the same way. But we have decided we're going to just use imposter syndrome for everything, but we won't. So take a look at imposter syndrome versus a failure to launch. And I have a blog post that I'll link it to our show notes that goes into the depth of what these two things look like.
If you can create, create, create, but you can't execute, then you're probably not in the right business. Or you need to hire someone who can execute the things you're creating, right? Like you need to know your strengths and know your weaknesses. Your strength is in creating your weaknesses in execution So you need to bring people onto your team that can help you put those things out into the world, right?
And then the other piece of this is that society puts crazy crazy crazy People Mental barriers, systemic barriers, racial barriers on women in the entrepreneurial realm. And there's no way for us to have this conversation without discussing that, right? So, if we're rewriting our personal narrative, here's something I want you to do.
Um, if you are shifting the narrative from I can't, I want you to move it to not just I can, but I'm not. Move from I can't to I'm capable. People who've coached with me and if you've a long time listener of this podcast, you know that I tell you, if you say, what if it doesn't work, I'm going to say, what if it does?
And that's just not lip service. I really want you to sit there and think about what will happen. If you succeed, I want you to feel that in your body. I want you to give yourself the time and the space to feel it in your body on what would happen if you succeed. If you need to write out some affirmations for yourself to reframe failure as failure.
As opposed to thinking that failure is a direct representation of who you are as a person, it is not. Failure is an opportunity for you to discover feedback. As I tell people all the time, if you launch something and no one buys it, you did not fail. The whole goal was to launch. Most people never launch.
The fact that you launched, that was the goal. Anything after that, icing on the cake. All right. If you launch and you don't make any money from your launch, that is called a 0 launch. That is not a failure. It is called a 0 launch. That is not a failure. Thinking about 0 launch allows you to go back and look at your processes.
Did you post and ghost? Did you make one Instagram post about it, one Facebook post about it and keep on going? And then expect it for people to see it. You all know the algorithm doesn't show us things for five days anyway. So if you launched it the day of and then said, Oh, nobody wants my product. Maybe we didn't see your product for five days.
And. Let's say I'm your target market, right? Let's say you're creating a product that's going to help, um, podcasters who want to monetize their podcasts, or you want to help coaches who are looking to expand their business. Beloved. I'm not even on Facebook anymore. I check Facebook. Maybe once a day, once every other day at this point.
So if the only place you put your product was on Facebook, I'm not there. If you put this product on LinkedIn. Then maybe I'll see it because that is where I now spend my time, right? So you have to use that opportunity, move it from being a failure to being feedback. What are things you can do differently in order to get a different result next time?
Okay. Um, and If you listen to last week's podcast, it will help you in this process. So last week I introduced the proof method. So you will pause to notice your self doubt, reflect on the source of that doubt, observe your thoughts, and challenge the validity. Open yourself to a new empowering perspective and then frame a new belief or action step.
And last week's podcast goes really, really deep into that, but that's a really quick way to see how to use the proof method. When you feel like maybe I failed in this business venture, you haven't, you just need to look for opportunities to do it differently. Okay. So next, um, a second one that kind of got me in, um, Divine gravity was I'm through accepting limits because someone says they're so.
Just because other people would like to impose their own limiting beliefs about themselves and project it onto you, your qualifications, your journey in your life, doesn't mean it has to become yours. Whenever someone gives you their opinion and then you in turn make a decision that you are going to internalize it, that is called a mistaken belief.
That is called a mistaken belief because you took on the belief of someone else. This is not a belief that you birthed through yourself. This is something somebody else told you, okay? You don't have to take on the limiting beliefs of other people. Understanding that leadership, true leadership, if you want to be a business owner, You must be a leader.
There's no other way around it. Anyone who calls themselves a business owner is by default a leader. If you don't like to lead people, lead change, lead opportunity, then you need to go get a job. All right. If you are a business owner, You are a leader. When it comes to leadership, you have to understand the importance of stepping into authentic leadership.
What is your authentic leadership style?
You have to know and understand that emotional intelligence is critical for women in leadership roles. What I mean by that is you must be self aware. You must have empathy for yourself. You must also have empathy for the team that you're building. You must be able to address where there may be cracks in the foundation of your team.
That also means you got to be able to see the cracks in the foundation of yourself. So the title of my cookie kind keynote was flood the foundation. And the reason I wanted to stick with, I, Flood the Foundation came to me on a walk in like May, and I knew that that was going to be the topic of my keynote, even though I didn't write it till August.
Flooding the foundation of your life means that what that foundation needs to be solid That is your thoughts and beliefs about yourself Your thoughts and beliefs about what you can accomplish your thoughts and beliefs in you being able to hold space for the woman You're becoming All of those things are important, so you need to flood the foundation with the things that are going to help you build upwards.
As opposed to, we're going to ignore those things that have happened to us in our life, and we're not going to pay any attention to it, and it doesn't affect us as an adult. Lies. Lies. Everything that we've experienced in our lives 100 percent affects the way we show up as adults. It affects the way we show up in romantic relationships.
It affects the way we show up in business. It affects the way you show up as a parent. And so you have to be self aware enough to know that there are things You need to improve. If you are unsure about what those things are and you need to get into community, I need you to get into community. I would invite you to ours.
We have the shift, which is a free community also linked down in our show notes. But then we also have group coaching and I also have sessions for one on one coaching as well as business strategy calls. Those are things that are available to you. In order for you to be able to build your emotional intelligence, to build your social emotional intelligence, to build your positive intelligence, um, we don't do toxic positivity.
There are steps and things that you can be doing in order to better yourself. And I think that's super important as a leader. As you grow as a leader, the things you believe in, the things you hold true to yourself, your core values need to be present at all times. If I could offer an exercise for you, um, write down three qualities that you admire in a leader.
If you are someone like me who hasn't, um, really worked for someone else in a really, really long time, then I would say find three people you admire. And then write down the qualities of these people or find one person you admire. Write down the qualities in them that you admire. The first person that comes to mind for me, you know, we've talked about our North Star before and one of my North Stars is Tabitha Brown.
Um, in addition to Oprah, Michelle Obama and others, but Tabitha Brown just came to mind because she has so many products currently out in Target. And I saw a podcast with her yesterday, where she talked about how years ago she trademarked the things that come out of her mouth. She trademarked her sayings.
And so now that she has her sayings, Brand partnerships inside of Target. They have to pay her extra in order to put those sayings on things because they're all trademarked This is a trademarked material, right? So what things do you say all the time? What are your core values? What are things that you are not willing to change about?
Things that you quote unquote as the kids say stand on business about, right? Like there are some things You That make up the core of who you are. And you may see those things in other leaders. Like, what are those things in other leaders that you are like, yep, I need that. You know, I value people who value rest.
I value people who make a whole lot of money with. Ease. I value people who are impactful and influential without being manipulative. Those are the people that I look up to. Those are some qualities that I want within my realm of authentic leadership. And so that is how I have curated my Instagram feed and my TikTok feeds.
I follow those types of people. And so if you're struggling or you want to understand that more, I would invite you to start looking for those things, write down those things that you are looking for, and then start typing those into a hashtag and start adjusting your algorithm to give you the things that are going to feed you.
All right. Um, next up y'all work like balance. Okay. When she says, I think I'll try defying gravity. This means, um, and I'm gonna bring in one, one more little part to this song. She sings one word unlimited. And like, I hear it in my head right now. When she sings the word unlimited, it almost feels like a call, like a war cry, that like.
We are unlimited. And when you think of the, the, just the sentence, I was, I think I'll try defying gravity. When you think about that in your business, create a business that aligns with personal fulfillment, not just financial success. See, the thing that people want you to believe is that all high power CEOs are just money hungry.
And that's not true. It's simply not. I 100 percent believe you can do a Google search. And type in CEOs that give back. CEOs and their um, core values. Like, everybody isn't, everybody that has money is not out here just like trying to rob the poor. They're not. That's, that's a line you've been fed and it's not true.
Okay? So when you are thinking about how you will defy gravity. Um, I want you to think about one of the number one causes that people leave their job or leave an industry is from burnout. One of the number one things that women are facing, particularly after COVID, where we had to do it all. You had to work from home.
You had to take care of your kids who were at home. You had to become the house manager in a way that you've never had to previously because now everybody in your house is at home. Right. And you've got to figure out how do we keep the harmony and have no discord in here during these quote unquote unprecedented times, right?
A lot of women are burnout. A lot of women are outtouched. A lot of women are, uh, undiagnosed ADHD or ADHD. And. You have to give yourself grace. So if you're thinking about how do I, me, how do I defy gravity? I want you to think about those things that you have control over. Okay. Don't focus on what you can't control.
What can you control? I want you to prioritize your wellbeing. I want you to prioritize self in order for you to have a sustainable success. I just don't want you to make 10, 000 once and then never again. I want you to have sustainable success. And how do you do that? Um, time blocking. Is one of my favorite tools to use.
Also something that was in last week's show notes, um, with our proof method. And I'll make sure that I put it in this week's as well. It will be in the show notes there too, but you can grab my template on Canva for time blocking, adjusted how you need to. I have my life broken off into three hour time blocks.
And I tell myself what I'm going to be doing the same way. When I learned how to manage money, it was, if you don't tell your money where to go, your money's going to go anywhere and you're never going to know where it is. Same thing with your time. If you don't set some limits and some boundaries about your time, Then your time will get away from you and you will not accomplish the things you want to, right?
So if you break your day into segments that are focused for work for self care for family personal time Um for me, I am working on a coaching program Which is actually way more in depth than my phd program was And so I have to set aside time to go through that program as a student and then I set time set aside time to go back through the material again so that I can teach it.
I don't try to do those two things at once. I set separate time to do that. Um, I did a personality assessment over the weekend. I'm sorry, a strength assessment over the weekend that stated I needed to set time to I needed to set intentional time to sit down and dream weekly. Currently, I do that monthly.
I've been doing that for a while since I read Dana Spinola's book, Love What You Do. She sets time monthly to dream big and so an alarm goes off on my clock every month at 7 p. m that says dream big. And from the skills assessment, it says I should do that weekly. And so now that's something new I'll be adding to my time blocking schedule, but using the time block, um, super helpful, very important.
Um, also set some non negotiable self care appointments in your calendar, just like it's a meeting, put it on your calendar, put it on like for us, if it's not on the, um, on our Google calendar, it doesn't exist. It's not happening. My kids learned that many many years ago. It was one of the tools that I use as a homeschool mom But if it's not on the calendar, it doesn't exist girl.
Put yourself on that calendar put it on the calendar. So everyone sees it um the next lyric The relationship between glinda and elphaba is really interesting when you watch this movie um It's so interesting to see Cynthia Ariana bring this to life. And even when I saw it on Broadway, I don't think I saw it in the way that I saw it now.
It could also be that that was almost eight years ago. And who I am as a woman now is very different than who I was then. So either way, um, I saw their relationship very differently. When they're defying gravity, the song opens with the two of them having a bit of a tiff. Okay? Um. When she says come with me, Glinda does not come, okay?
This is gonna be a big one for some of y'all. When you are in transition, when you know that your calling in life is bigger than what you're doing, and nobody in your life understands that, there's literally not one person you can pick up the phone and call that's going to get it, this line, and you won't bring me down.
The unique challenges that women face from under representation, um, biases, a lack of access to funding, a lack of community, a lack of support in the way that you need it, a lack of understanding. You cannot allow those things. To bring you down, like you must have a mantra that lives within you that every single time you feel defeated, you're like, this is not gonna bring me down.
This is not going to weigh me down. Even in the midst of this, I'ma keep on going. I am going to put some systems in place in my life that help me to continue. Right? Like you have to understand that particularly as we move through the world right now, It's, it might be an uphill battle, but it doesn't mean you won't reach the top.
It doesn't mean you won't be successful. Now, if that's the belief that you've given yourself is that you won't be successful in these next four years, uh, I would encourage you to change that, right? Regardless of who sits in the white house, baby, what's happening in your house? Is based on your belief, not theirs.
Okay. You taking control of your mind and putting yourself first is what is going to make all the difference between you and the next person who is successful when y'all got the same amount of qualifications with the same systemic barriers against you. The thing that makes the successful person different from the unsuccessful person is that the successful person.
Has the mantra they have the deep seated belief that you won't bring them down You need to find yourself in community with people who understand the key to success is empowerment. You don't have to be in the mean girl clique. You can be in a group of women, a group of women entrepreneurs in a friend group where everybody is at the top of their game, not just one.
There is nothing more humbling than being the person who knows the most in the room. If you find yourself in that situation, I would encourage you to move quickly. Go find a new room to be a part of because you never want to be the smartest one. In the room, that means you're not growing. It means that you've capped.
And I personally have found myself there this year and had to make some moves in order to be in those rooms. Well, CCK, what do I do? How do I find those people? Baby, you might have to pay your way in. You, you might have to suck that up and come up with some new ways to make money to pay for access to rooms where the journey that you're trying to take, there are people who are already there.
There are mentors who are already lined up, willing to help you get there faster. You're going to have to pay your way in. Okay. Everything can't be free. Trust me. Trust me, sometimes you got to pay your way into the rooms in order to learn the lessons you need to learn from the people who've already been through it so that you don't have to lose out in the way they did so that you don't have to file bankruptcy so that you don't have to break your neck trying to write curriculum when somebody else has already written it.
Like there's no reason for you to try and reinvent the wheel when the wheel was created a long time ago. If I could give you a tip to help you move to that next level, I want you to identify one woman entrepreneur that you admire. Reach out for mentorship, advice, collaboration, find out if sis has a class.
Listen, the fastest way for you to get close to me, baby, buy something. Okay, if every time you talk to me, you want something free, I can promise you I'm gonna put you on my do not answer list. Do not return the call list. Why? Because you're a leech and that's an energy leak for me. We have a podcast episode on energy leaks and you need to be able to identify them in your life.
Is everyone who asked me for something? No, but if I have to spend so much of my time trying to convince you that you need to get off your high horse and stop thinking that you can have access to somebody just because you want to, that's an energy leak for me. And so you need to know and understand that if there's a place you're trying to go, ask yourself if you want to own a multimillion dollar corporation, you can't hang around with people who just trying to make 100, 000.
That's, that's not the same. People who are making 100, 000 got completely different mindset issues than people who make 8 figures. They're not the same person. They're not. And as I am studying, and I mean studying, about the various levels of entrepreneurship and the mindset things that people go through at each level, what you're thinking about, Trying to get to 100, 000 is vastly different than the person who's already made it and has been making it.
And now they consider that minimum wage and they're like, I'm trying to go for eight figures. I'm trying to hit seven figures. That's a different mindset. And so if you're trying to go to where the millionaires play, you're going to have to pay to play. You're gonna have to pay to play. I have had million dollar mentors before.
Um, and even in that process, they're not gonna give you everything. But when I join their mastermind, or when I join their coaching programs, There was so much more information being given to me, um, because they had systems in place that in a mentor mentee relationship may not come up. But when we now move into a business relationship, a whole lot more comes to pass.
And so just think about that as you're reaching out to people. What do you want? Don't just reach out because you want to beat him. What you want? Be real specific about what you're looking for. Um, and if you, I'm going to say this, if you are within the culinary industry and you find yourself in transition and you want to move from the kitchen to your calling, I need you to make sure you tap into my show notes.
There is something that I will be releasing, probably soft launching it in December, but we will be going full force with this January, 2025. 2025. I know that I am uniquely qualified. To change the lives of people within the culinary industry who want to move from the kitchen into their calling and into their calling.
I mean, use all the skills you had in the kitchen and now begin to change the world in other ways. That is the new coaching offer that I will have in 2025. Very niche, very specific. There's a very clear person, uh, that this opportunity is for. And if you are someone in transition who's ready to leave your kitchen and move into something else that's bigger than you, you know it's bigger than you, you can feel it's bigger than you, and you're ready to defy gravity.
Make sure you tap in. All right. So next up and we this is our last point. Um before we close Goal setting accountability and growth As the song progresses the score builds the score builds. It's beautiful. Um, and once That the broom moves and she gets on it and she's flying The phrase, I'm flying high, defying gravity.
This is when we hit it, okay? This is when we hit it, and I swear to God, I just need y'all to see it. I understand you're not in the musicals, but you need to see the physical representation of what it looks like to defy gravity and to fly high, okay? Um, Clarity and accountability drive success. Throughout this movie, and it's a three hour movie, throughout this movie.
There is clarity that is formed based on the circumstances and conditions that are happening. Now, I want to point this out and I don't want to get too deep into it, but I do want to point this out. Elphaba, Cynthia Erivo's character, is at the right place at the right time when the wrong thing happens.
Let that one sit in your spirit. She's at the right place, at the right time, when the wrong thing happens. And people who have already been through what she's been through, who know how to help her tame what she's going through. This thing that she considers wicked, that they consider a gift. They see it and they attach themselves to her to help her, to train her.
for your time.
There are going to be times in your life where you're going to meet people who are quite literally only supposed to be in your life to help you see what you don't see about yourself. And it may not always come in a positive way. If you actually watch the movie, and I believe they go to this more in movie two, you will see the ramifications of what happened when you don't know when to cut people off.
Now. Some people really are going to be like, Oh, I can help you do X, Y, Z, but they're doing it for their own personal gain. I can speak from experience. This has happened to me. People will see things in you, you don't see in yourself, and because you don't see it in yourself and you don't know who you are just yet, you don't see it.
They're going to use that thing to further their businesses. They're going to use that thing to further their platforms. Okay. And then you end up being left picking up the pieces. Once you realize what's happening. Once you realize that the same openness, willingness, loving kindness that you have for them, they don't actually had it for you.
They just saw what you could do for them. And they did it. You need to now turn that thing that they've honed in you and learn how to use it for yourself. Okay. Clarity, you need to find clarity on what is next in this next season of your life. You also need to have accountability. You need to be around people who are going to hold you accountable to the thing you said you're going to do.
Um, even right now, the coaching program that I am in, I've never paid this much money for a coaching program. It is a huge investment, um, but it has fundamentally changed the way I think. It changes the way I show up in the world. It changes the way I see people. It changes the way I see my own business.
It will 100 percent be the catalyst for everything else that pops off in 2025 and I'm aware of that and I'm grateful for the opportunity This is one of the biggest goals it is a bold goal And my coach looks at me when we have our one on ones and she's just like I don't understand why you're running from the thing That makes you great Why are you trying to create something to appease other people when all the things in your life led you to this moment?
I need you to tap into who you are and I need you to wear it like rubies and diamonds. Diamonds, like I need you to just really step into who you are and the fullness of that. That's why there will be a new program in 2025, right? You need to be around people who can see that and can call it out. If you, as you begin to work for mentorship or work to be able to afford a coaching program, be able to invest into yourself on that level.
Um, when you are setting your goals, make sure you are working smarter and not harder. All right. Make sure you are specific. Make sure your goal is measurable. Make sure it is achievable. Make sure the goal is achievable. Make sure it is relevant to who you are and where you're going. Is it aligned with the timeline of your highest good?
Make sure it's time bound. Do not make a goal for something that's 20 years out. Make a goal for something that's 12 months out. Okay. Um, Make sure you are evaluating where you are. Take some time to sit in it. If you have a 0 launch, that is not a failure. That is an opportunity for you to look for feedback, evaluate where you are and then revise.
If you realize that, man, maybe I shouldn't post in ghost and maybe I should start building an email list. Maybe I should start a podcast so I could talk to people. Maybe I should do this. Maybe I should do that. Revise the plan, revise the plan. Consistency is not about doing the same thing over and over.
Expected the same result that is insanity Consistency is about you doing similar things to reach your ultimate goal. It doesn't mean the same thing. It means a similar thing One final little moment to help you land this if a coach of a football team is teaching them Plays right they learn the plays it becomes the foundation, but if a coach They don't, if you don't stop and go, all right, what worked, what didn't work, how can we improve?
Your team is not going to stay winning. If you never challenged them to go to the next level, okay, boom, you mastered this. And now we're going to add on a little something different, right? We're going to add on just a little bit more. We're going to add on just a little bit more. Similar things that are tweaked, that are improved, that are adjusted in order for you to reach your ultimate goal.
If you believe that consistency is you showing up every day to do the same thing over and over again, yet you do not see where you are moving forward. Love. That's insanity. I need you to tweak what you're doing. Consistency is you showing up. Consistency is not you doing the same thing over and over and over and over again not getting a result.
